L'uovo più grande del mondo
L'uovo di cioccolato più grande mai realizzato è stato prodotto in Italia nel 2011 a Tosca, Perugia: pesava 7.200 kg ed era alto quasi 10 metri. Ci vollero 25 cioccolatieri per 3 settimane. La sorpresa dentro, purtroppo, è rimasta un segreto.

The largest chocolate Easter egg ever made was produced in Italy in 2011 in Tosca, Perugia: it weighed 7,200 kg and stood nearly 10 metres tall. It took 25 chocolatiers three weeks to create. The surprise inside, unfortunately, was never revealed.

La Pasquetta non esiste in inglese
Il Lunedì dell'Angelo è festivo anche nel Regno Unito, ma la tradizione italiana della Pasquetta — gita fuori porta, cibo avanzato, amici e natura — è un'invenzione tutta nostrana. In inglese non esiste nemmeno una parola equivalente: si dice semplicemente "Easter Monday".

Easter Monday is a public holiday in the UK too, but the Italian tradition of Pasquetta — a day trip, leftover food, friends and nature — is a uniquely Italian invention. There isn't even an English equivalent word for it: it's simply called "Easter Monday" and celebrated rather more quietly.

According to ancient English folk belief, bread baked on Good Friday would never go mouldy and could even ward off illness. One legend claims that sharing a hot cross bun with someone guaranteed eternal friendship for the entire year. Perhaps that explains why the English buy them by the dozen.
